Socrates Café Is On the Move

Greetings All,

As discussed during our most recent sessions - we will be trying out a new venue for our December discussion.  We will meet in the private room at El Vallarta Bar and Grill, at Carolina Mall in Concord (1480 Concord Pkwy N #305).  We will discuss this location as a viable alternative at the end of our session.

So mark you calendar for December 6th at 6:00pm.

I would propose that true American exceptionalism is centered in our right to state our opinions without retribution.  What better way to exercise this right than by joining us for Socrates Café?!? We have I think, five regular attendees who cannot be at the meeting this Tuesday, so I am going to cancel the meeting for this month. We can include a discussion about this month’s book, Spectacular Rogue,  at next month’s meeting. This book is in short supply, so that gives an additional opportunity to read it. The book for April is Matterhorn, by Carl Marlantes.  This is a fiction Vietnam combat story by written by a Marine combat veteran. It is intense and well written.
