Where and When Do We Meet?

We gather on the first Tuesday of each month in the private room at El Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in Concord. It is located at Carolina Mall, beside Northeast Medical Center. We have the private room reserved. Most of our participants order dinner while we meet, but that is totally optional. Our sessions begin at 6:00pm, and end by 8:00.

My apologies for not posting the questions for the last few months.  I simply forget the blog at times.

Here are the questions submitted recently.  The question in bold font is the one that was selected for discussion.

October

  • Why should we care about global warming?  Is the human influence a natural phenomenon?
  • Should government shutdown be a viable negotiating tool?
  • Is the US government destroying our free market by providing basic needs for all people free of charge?


November

  • How much responsibility does the government have to reduce the unemployment rate?
  • For a our happiness, well-being, and a better future - is it better to live in a blue state or a a red state?
  • Considering the amount greed in the US, is capitalism doomed to failure?

  • Has the belief in a God provided more harm than good in the world?
